A Business Contract

Arranged marriages are becoming less frequent on the island, although in the more isolated villages such as Gamnos and Livanopolis they still take place.

Success in these marriages is not easily gauged, but I suspect many of the partners thrust into such arrangements make the best of a bad job. How many are truly happy is open to question.

The marriage in this story seemed to be highly successful, but then the arrangement was exceptional to say the least.
